Duke has done wonderfully in playgroups with other dogs, showing that he can be social and have fun in the right setting. He’s still learning about the world and would thrive in a home that can provide structure and positive reinforcement. Duke prefers a calmer environment, so he’d do best in a home without very young children. He’s working on his leash manners and can be a little reactive when seeing or meeting other dogs on walks, but with patience and training, he’s sure to improve. He went out on wondering rovers and it was reported he was easily redirected. If you’re looking for a loyal, playful friend who’s ready to learn and grow with you, Duke might be your perfect match!

We've got awesome dogs, cats and other critters waiting for new families to come and adopt! The adoption process begins online, and all adoptions are done by appointment only. To reduce the animals' overall stress levels, we have decided to limit animal viewing to those people with appointments for specific animals.
How it works:
1. Check out our available animals online. If you see an animal you’re interested in, fill out that species adoption questionnaire at https://www.everettwa.gov/161/Adopt-a-Pet to start the adoption process. Please be sure to include the name of the animal that you are interested in adopting. Questionnaires will only be reviewed if a specific animal is identified. You aren't obligated to adopt that pet, but it's a place to start.
2. Our staff will review your questionnaire and contact you to discuss the adoption. Please note that it often takes several days before you are contacted. We appreciate your patience! (If it has been longer than one week and you haven’t heard from us, please email us.)
3. Most animals will be available to go home the same day as the adoption meeting.
ADOPTION FEES - CATS
- Cats (over 6 months): $50 - $100
- Kittens (6 months and under): $150 - $300
- Two kittens adopted at the same time: $250 - $300
