My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Brooklyn! 💙🐾
Brooklyn is a beautiful 7-year-old blue-and-white girl with a gentle soul and a heart full of sweetness. Weighing about 52 pounds, she’s the perfect size for someone looking for a calm, affectionate companion who’s past the wild puppy stage and ready to enjoy the quieter side of life.

Brooklyn is a nice girl and a true sweetie, loving human companionship and relaxed time with her people. She’s at an age where she appreciates comfort, routine, and cozy moments just as much as a nice walk or some gentle play.

Brooklyn is heartworm positive, but this condition is treatable, and she’s looking for a caring home willing to support her through treatment and recovery. She is also eligible for our Silver Paws VIP program, making it even easier to give this special girl the loving retirement-style home she deserves.

If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion with a calm demeanor and a whole lot of heart, Brooklyn is ready to settle in, soak up the love, and be your devoted best friend. 🐶

More about this shelter

The Gulf Coast Humane Society is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) animal welfare organization dedicated to serving the animals and community of Southwest Florida. We receive no federal, state, or county funding, nor do we receive financial support from the Humane Society of the United States. Instead, our lifesaving work is made possible through the generosity of individual donations, grants, bequests, and community fundraising efforts.

As a no kill shelter, Gulf Coast Humane Society is committed to providing compassionate care for unwanted, neglected, and abandoned animals. We never euthanize due to space constraints or the length of time an animal has been in our care. Our mission is to give every animal the second chance they deserve in a safe and loving environment.
