My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My story began in a very dark place. I was rescued from a horrific breeding operation in Texas that was shut down by the FBI due to severe abuse and neglect. More than 100 of my siblings and fellow German Shepherds were saved that day and Big Dog Ranch Rescue gave us the second chance we desperately needed. For much of my early life, I didn’t know kindness, comfort, or safety. But thanks to Big Dog Ranch Rescue, I am finally learning what it means to be cared for. I’m discovering soft beds, gentle hands, full meals, and the simple joy of being treated like family. I am a purebred German Shepherd with a loyal heart and so much love to give. I may need patience and understanding as I continue to heal, but I promise to give my whole heart to the person who gives me a chance. Now I’m waiting for my forever home where I can leave my painful past behind and start the life I was always meant to have.

If you are interested in adopting a dog from us please visit the ranch. Our website adoptions page has all of our availalbe dogs and our adoption application at www.bdrr.org/adopt. This will help us make sure we find you the right dog to fit your situation and family. You are welcomed to come to the ranch seven days a week or you can make an appointment with our adoption desk. Our adoption fees range depending on the dog's breed, age and other factors.
