My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Brie! I’m a gentle girl and can be a bit shy when we first meet, but if you give me a little patience and kindness, I promise I’m worth it.

I get along with other dogs and feel especially comfortable when I have a confident canine friend by my side. They help me feel brave and remind me that everything is going to be okay. Because of that, I’d love a home with another friendly pup who can show me the ropes.

What I need most is a patient family who understands that building trust takes time. I’m not the kind of girl who will rush into your arms on day one, but once I know I’m safe, I’ll become your loyal, loving shadow.

My location: Morgan Hill, CA

*Please note that third-party sites like PetFinder or Adopt-a-Pet may sometimes list multiple locations for the same animal. My correct and current location is the one listed directly above!*

*Beagle Freedom Project facilitates out-of-state adoptions, provided the adopter is able to travel to the animal's current location for pickup.*

If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an adoption application at https://bfp.org/adopt/

Additional adoption info

ABOUT OUR ADOPTION PROCESS: Standardly, Beagle Freedom Project does not facilitate animal meet and greets. Instead, we begin all BFP adoptions with a trial-period; this is called ‘fostering-to-adopt’. At BFP, we believe that the best way for an adopter to be certain that an animal is their perfect match is by giving them an opportunity to truly know each other before finalizing an adoption. As BFP animals come from such traumatic pasts, they can often be shy upon a first meeting. Foster-to-adopt trials allow these special animals an opportunity to decompress and show their authentic personality before an official adoption decision is made.
