My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Moorea & Noosa,

Moorea is a sweet and gentle soul who is ready to enjoy a simple life of snoozing in a warm, cozy spot, tucked away in a cat tree or snuggled into her favorite bed. She is quickly coming out of her shell and has just learned that pets and chin scratches are some of the best things in the world, and that people have cozy, comfy laps to sit on. She is looking forward to catching up on all the cuddles and scritches she has missed until now.

Moorea enjoys gentle belly rubs and loves rubbing up against her people. She takes her time adjusting to new environments, but once she has settled, she is affectionate and loving. She would be thrilled to have a home with a tall cat tree where she can lounge and watch the world go by outside.

Moorea & Noosa are a bonded pair and we are looking for a home where they can thrive together. They can often be found snuggling together, grooming each other and lounging the days away on the cat tree.

We welcome online applications, but we prioritize in‑person meetings and applications. Come visit Moorea & Noosa at our West Vancouver location and experience their charm for yourself. Adoption hours are from noon to 3 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday.

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
