My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Noosa & Moorea,

Playful Noosa is excited to find a new home filled with toys and cat trees where she can play, explore, and show off her athletic prowess.

She's very affectionate, she loves rubbing against you, purring, making biscuits, and rolling around in your lap. She greets her people with cheerful chirps and enthusiastic leg rubs.

Noosa is a lively girl who would thrive in a home with plenty of enrichment, toys, and people to play with. She'll be happiest in a space that offers lots of opportunities for climbing and high perches; cat trees and wall‑mounted shelves are some of her favorites.

Moorea & Noosa are a bonded pair and we are looking for a home where they can thrive together. They can often be found snuggling together, grooming each other and lounging the days away on the cat tree.

If you're ready for two fun, goofy feline companions, Noosa & Moorea might be the perfect match. We welcome online applications, but we prioritize in‑person meetings and applications. Come visit them at our West Vancouver location and experience their charm for yourself. Adoption hours are from noon to 3 pm, Tuesday through Sunday.

The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort
