Dog Test: (Okay with Dogs) Cee Cee has not been in a home with dogs. With proper introductions she is young enough that she would most likely adapt to other pets in the home.
Cat Test: (Good with Cats) Cee Cee has been around other cats while out and about at the shelter and seems to enjoy their company.
Kid Test: (Good with Kids) Cee Cee may do okay in a home with kind, gentle children who understand boundaries.
Energy Level: (Medium) Meet Cee Cee, a spirited kitten who is looking for her forever family. Cee Cee is the ultimate companion—independent enough to entertain herself, but always eager to be part of the action. She enjoys playing with cat toys, talking to the humans, cuddles, and naps.

Saturday- Sunday 10am-2pm
We ask that you come visit any time between open and no later than 30 minutes prior to closing. This ensures that staff will have enough time to assist you in meeting one of our great furry friends!

More about this shelter
We are a Municipal Animal Shelter for the City of Lee's Summit. We house animals brought in by Lee's Summit Animal Control Officers and Blue Springs Animal Control Officers.
Animals are also brought to us by owners that can no longer keep the animal or by strays that were impounded for running loose.
When an animal comes in as a stray, it is held for 5 days to give the owner a chance to claim it. If the owner does not claim it, on the 6th day it is put up for adoption or foster. During this 5 day holding period, if a potential adopter would like to adopt the animal, they are welcome to sign up on the adoption list. The names on the adoption list are contacted on the 6th day if no owner has made claim.
If there are no names on the adoption list, then the animal will become first come, first served when available for adoption.
