My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi… I’m Matilda. I’m a young girl who was found out on my own as a stray. The world felt like a pretty big and scary place back then, so I learned to be a little cautious. Because of that, I can seem timid at first—but underneath my shy exterior is a very sweet heart just waiting to feel safe. The shelter is still a bit overwhelming for me, and I tend to take my time getting to know new people. I like to quietly observe and make sure everything feels okay before I fully relax. But once I realize I’m safe, I soften quickly. Gentle voices, slow movements, and soft pets help me come out of my shell. When I start to trust you, you’ll see just how loving I can be. I’m looking for a patient, understanding family who will give me the time and space I need to adjust. A calm home where I can settle in at my own pace would be perfect. With a little love and reassurance, I know I’ll blossom into the confident, affectionate companion I’m meant to be. If you have a kind heart and a cozy spot in your home, I’d love the chance to make it mine.
