My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Abe Froman!

Abe Froman is a dashing white-and-brown tabby with a name almost as legendary as his personality. Inspired by the infamous “Sausage King of Chicago,” this feline Abe carries himself with effortless confidence, a touch of mischief, and impeccable comedic timing.

With caramel-tabby stripes splashed across a snowy white coat, Abe looks permanently dressed for a day off. His bright, curious eyes are always scanning for his next adventure—whether that’s commandeering the comfiest spot on the couch, staging a dramatic leap onto the kitchen counter, or supervising household activities like a tiny, whiskered executive.

Equal parts charmer and troublemaker, Abe has mastered the art of the slow blink, the strategic purr, and the perfectly timed zoomies. He believes naps are an art form, snacks are a right (not a privilege), and every closed door is a personal challenge.

Confident. Clever. Just a little dramatic. Abe Froman isn’t just a cat—he’s a legend in his own living room!

Abe Froman is neutered, up-to-date on his FVRCP and Rabies vaccines and he is FIV and FeLV negative.

Abe is currently staying at our Heartland Facility! We are open Thursday 4 pm-7 pm, Friday 4 pm-7 pm, Saturday Noon-6 pm, and Sunday Noon-6 pm. Feel free to stop by to meet him! No appointment necessary.
