My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Lilo  9 months old - Long-haired -Tricolor Beauty - Rescued from Puerto Rico

Lilo is a breathtaking long-haired tricolor girl with the softest, fluffiest coat and the most expressive green eyes you’ve ever seen. Her luxurious fur and gentle face make her look like a tiny lioness — and yes, her coat really is as soft as it looks!

Lilo’s journey has been one of quiet bravery. When she first arrived in foster care, she was unsure and would tuck herself into a corner, hissing to say, “I’m scared.” But within just a week, everything began to change. She started seeking out her foster, following her from room to room, curious and wanting connection.

That’s Lilo in a nutshell — cautious at first, but deeply sweet underneath.

She may be shy when meeting new people and will need time to settle into a new home. Transitions are hard for her, and she may have a temporary setback when she moves again. But once she feels safe, her true personality shines:

• She loves to follow her person around.

• She enjoys treats (Temptations are a favorite!)

• She is incredibly soft and cuddly.

• She is very playful — especially when she thinks no one is watching.

• She gets along well with both cats and dogs.

Lilo is a “work in progress” in the most beautiful way. She doesn’t need perfection — she needs patience. She would thrive with a calm, understanding adopter who will give her the time she needs to blossom at her own pace.

If you are someone who believes the most meaningful bonds are built slowly and gently, Lilo may be your girl. Watching her trust grow is truly something special.
