Alma missed transport last week for an adopter that never showed. Luckily we were able to quickly secured a ride for this little lady and bring her to safety.
We didn’t think it was possible but Alma is even more submissive than her sister that arrived last week. She is a petite pup at just 35lbs, and we think she will grow to be around 50lbs. Alma is submissive with people, pups and even felines. She will greet humans with a low crawl, cautiously wagging tail, and gentle kisses. It’s amazing how cuddly she can be. While most 7 month okd puppies are running around like crazy, Alma is good to just cuddle on the couch with humans or her stuffed toys. She has been doing well with her basic puppy skills of crate, leash and house training. Alma would do well in a home with furry friends, but it is not necessary. She will however need a family that not only understands a cautious shy girl, but one that gives her time and confidence to blossom. A Little "Kibbles & Bits" About Us
Crate Escape is a small family run rescue. We are a family friendly rescue we do not have an age requirement for kids in an adoptive home. We believe that it is better to educate kids on the proper way to care for the pups so they can use the knowledge in the future. All pups from 8 weeks on up are spayed/neutered. All of our pups are in foster care or in our own home. They are all vetted prior to entering their forever homes.
Our Mission "Possible"
With your help you can make our mission possible! Our rescue specializes in saving pups primarily from North and South Carolina in high kill shelters. Believe it or not there is over an 80% euthanization rate for unwanted dogs/puppies. Shelters can be a taboo for dogs especially young puppies. They carry deadly illnesses that puppies are susceptible to such as parvovirus, distemper, etc.
Our second goal is to PROMOTE, ADVOCATE, AND EDUCATE people about the importance of having a pet spayed/neutered. All of our pups (8 weeks +) are spayed & neutered. This is so important in helping us achieve our goal.
