Hi, I’m Dewey
I’m a big, handsome black-and-white guy with some very impressive cheeks, people tell me I’m quite the looker. But my best feature? My heart. I’m a total sweetheart who truly loves people. Pets? Yes please. Being held? I don’t mind at all. There’s a very good chance I’ll be a lap cat in my forever home.
I’m wonderful with other cats and enjoy their company, but I should be honest… dogs are not my thing. I don’t just dislike them… I kung fu them. So a dog-free home is a must for me.
I’m considered a special needs kitty because I’m FIV positive, but please don’t let that scare you. It’s really nothing to be afraid of, and I’d be more than happy if you asked questions when you come meet me. I also recently had a dental, so my teeth are sparkling clean and feeling great!
My story started a little rough. I was dumped with a few others on a volunteer’s farm, yeah, some people can be pretty awful. But despite that, I showed everyone just how sweet and loving I am. I was adopted once and later returned, not because I wasn’t amazing (I was!), but because I and the resident dog just couldn’t agree on house rules. My previous family said I was wonderful and very loving… and I promise that’s still true.
If you’re looking for a big, affectionate, people-loving cat with a lot of love to give (and no dogs in the house), I might be your guy. Come visit me any day from 1–5pm… I’ll be waiting.
I am fully vetted: neutered, microchipped, FIV positive, FeLV negative, treated for fleas/ticks/and intestinal parasites, and up-to-date on all my vaccinations. I require an indoor-only home and, as with all cats — absolutely no declawing.
If you are interested in adopting Dewey, please come visit… we are open daily from 1-5pm (including holidays)… we need to meet you in person! If you have any questions, feel free to email us at info@furballcats.com or message us on Facebook: Furball Farm Cat Sanctuary.

Since Furball Farm gives many cats forever homes they are always in need of Scoopable cat Litter, canned cat food, and cleaning supplies. Items purchased at PetSmart in Faribault can be left at the store and they will contact us for pick up. We appreciate any help we can get and so do the cats!!! Thank you!!

Their adoption process
Additional adoption info
Our goal is to be a sanctuary for cats who are not adoptable and to find loving homes for those who are. We welcome you to visit our sanctuary to snuggle with our furballs. You may even end up going home with one...or two!!!
You always need to remember our cats come with baggage. Lots of them were treated badly by people and it has taken time for them to trust us. They may need to come out of their shells once you adopt them. You need to give them time to see you are not going to hurt them. We love our Furballs and want good homes for all of them. Please remember it is all about the cats for us.
We only adopt out our Furballs to people within 2-3 hours of our sanctuary because of the baggage they come with. This does not include some of the cats in foster care (contact their foster parents for more information).
