Now in our Middletown PetSmart adoption center!!! Sonny and Cher are an adorable, bonded brother-and-sister duo who are ready to find their forever home together.
Sonny is a handsome orange tabby with light and dark stripes and sweet white markings on his face and feet. He’s a sensitive boy who cries for his sister when he feels scared or lonely. He loves to race around and wrestle with his sister. When he’s ready for pets, he rolls around at your feet so you can rub his soft belly.
Cher has silky white hair with beautiful darker orange stripes drizzled down her back. She’s Sonny’s biggest comfort, always coming to him with gentle chirps and twitters in a song of reassurance. Cher loves following her humans around and staying close by to allow you to stroke her satiny fur.
These two share everything — even though they each have their own bowls, they insist on eating from the same one. Their bond is truly heartwarming. After undergoing medical treatment and spending time in isolation, they became a little nervous around people. They need patience and understanding so they can feel safe and confident. In return, you’ll get double the love, double the companionship, and the joy of watching two shy hearts blossom.
Sonny and Cher are good with other cats; they have not been found young children nor dogs.

Submit Application
People can view our cats on-line and can see some of them in the adoption centers. An application can be for a particular cat or a TBD.
Approve Application
Processing takes about 3-5 business days. Upon approval, a meet & great and/or adoption will be arranged.
Meet the Pet
An approved app is needed to meet cats that are with fosters & in our clinic/shelters and may be needed to meet adoption center cats.
Sign Adoption Contract
The adoption counselor will review the paperwork and the medical form with the adopter. This is a good time to ask questions before signing.
Pay Fee
Adoption fees are based upon the age of the cat - kitten, adult, 7+ yrs. - how many cats are being adopted and special needs cats.
Take the Pet Home
An adopted pet must be taken home in a carrier. If there are other pets at home, please give them a slow intro period of about 2 weeks.
