My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Skylar — an 11-year-old hound mix with the sweetest soul and the kindest eyes. This gentle senior boy is full of love and ready to spend his golden years in a cozy home.

Skylar enjoys leisurely walks, soft beds, and relaxing near his people. He has that classic hound personality — loyal, affectionate, and happiest when he’s part of the family. He’s past the puppy chaos and perfectly content with a calm, comfortable routine.

Because of his natural instincts, Skylar does like to chase cats, so he will need a cat-free home where he can relax without temptation.

If you’re looking for a devoted, easygoing companion who will stick by your side and fill your days with quiet love, Skylar is ready to meet you.

Adoption Fees & Process
See current fees at www.yakimahumane.org
The adoption fees help offset the cost of evaluation, housing, feeding and medical care for the thousands of animals that need our help. We do our best to keep adoption prices reasonable while generating income to support our goal of caring for animals available for adoption until we can place them in a loving home. Adoption fees help provide medical care, food and shelter to the animals in our care.
