My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This charming little guy is estimated to be around 8 years old and weighs about 19 pounds, but don’t let the numbers fool you...Snort is a puppy at heart! He was found as a stray, and despite life throwing him a few curveballs, including having only one eye, he hasn’t lost an ounce of his zest for life. Snort sees the world with a positive spin and a wagging tail, ready to make the most of every moment.

Snort is a social little adventurer who loves meeting new people and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. He’s the kind of dog who can join the action, chase a toy, or run around the yard, but also knows the joy of curling up close for a cozy cuddle session. Playtime or snuggles he’s happy either way!

When Snort first came to us, his skin was in rough shape from flea irritation, but thanks to some TLC, he’s now feeling much better and his fur is starting to grow back beautifully. He’s ready to share his love with a family who will appreciate both his playful energy and his mellow side.

This little guy has so much personality, charm, and heart packed into his 19-pound frame, and he’s just waiting for someone to call his own. Snort will follow you around, be your loyal sidekick, and always remind you that life is better with a wagging tail by your side.

If you’re looking for a dog who’s equal parts playful and loving, adventurous and cuddly, Snort might just be your perfect match. Please inquire today!

More about this rescue

Pug Nation Rescue of Los Angeles is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, care, and placement of abandoned, neglected, unwanted, displaced, and abused pugs. Our goal is to find every homeless pug a forever home; if we cannot do that, we pledge to provide a comfortable and loving place for sick or unwanted pugs to live out their lives. Our Board of five and numerous volunteers are passionate about Pug Rescue and live by our motto of “One Pug at a Time”. We feel that through our efforts we can change many of these forgotten Pug’s lives. In order to find our Pugs a home as soon as possible, we hold at least three adoption fairs a month and also organize a number of fundraising events, including the annual Pugtacular festival and Legendary Bingo at Hamburger Mary’s in West Hollywood. These events and on-line fundraising have provided the money to help pay for vet treatments, medicine and loving care at our Pug Station. We rely on the generosity of our supporters through donations and participation in our fundraising activities. If you would like to make a donation, find out about the next event, become a volunteer, foster, or adopt your own rescue pug, you are in the right place! You can also follow us on Facebook and twitter, there is always something going on and new pugs needing your help.
