My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Do you dream of a kitty that comes to you asking to be picked up and held? A kitty that
climbs you like a mountain goat for pets? A kitty that shows his love by wrapping his
long, bushy tail around you? Bugsy could be your dream cat!

A young lad at just over a year, Bugsy has the playful exuberance of a teenager. He
loves to play and tussle with the other kitties in his foster home, and enjoys toys of all
sorts. His favorite toy is a wand toy (without the feather) stuck in a cat tree. He bats at it
from above and jumps to box at it from below. Sometimes, he even catches it!

Bugsy loves other cats, so he will need another cat in his new home, and would love to
bring his brother with him. He loves his people, too, and gets jealous when they are
holding the other cats. He will weasel his way between them to make sure he gets his
share of the love. He’s cautious about the unknown, so will need some time to settle in,
and would do best with older kids. He doesn’t mind nice dogs.

When summer gets here, he will need a safe place to go outside with his people and kitty friends for a family adventure out.

Bugsy has a distinctive look in his long, gray, tabby coat, white socks and stockings,
and black accents down his back and tail. Give him a little time, and he will give you
never-ending love in return.

Additional adoption info

Clear Creek Cat Rescue rehomes kitties based on 'best fit' approach. We require that adopters sign our adoption contract and a legally binding no-declawing agreement. There is an adoption fee. Most adult cats are $80 except for those who are sponsored or part of a special. Kittens under 8 months are $135. All adults are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Kittens are adopted at 12 weeks of age or older and are spayed/neutered prior to adoption.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

Dur to pandemic, we are doing virtual adoptions and slowly transitioning to in person. Our cats are available for adoption from their foster homes located all over southcentral Alaska.

More about this rescue

Clear Creek Cat Rescue is a group of individuals in Alaska dedicated to rescuing cats in need, giving them care, rehabilitation if needed, and finding happy homes for them. We each give what we can to help these cats get through this most unfortunate time in their lives when they have been taken to the pound or are otherwise lost and homeless. Some of us share our homes with these cats while they are waiting for their forever family, some transport them from place to place, some host adoption fairs, take pictures, post ads. Some offer financial help.
In 2020, we rescued and rehomed approximately 650 cats.
