My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Sea Bass.

I know, I know — the name sounds tough. You’d think I’d be some big rugged guy swimming around causing trouble. But the truth is… I’m actually just a very sweet, very cuddly little kitten.

If you pick me up, I basically melt. Like, full noodle mode. I just relax right into your arms like I was made to be there. Being held is kind of my favorite thing.

I’ve also been told I’m very pretty (I try to stay humble about it), and my fur is silky smooth — the kind you can’t help but pet over and over again. Honestly, I don’t mind at all. More pets? Yes please.

Mostly I’m just a lovey little guy who wants to be close to his people. Snuggles, pets, and hanging out with my humans are pretty much my dream hobbies.

So if you’re looking for a kitten who will turn into a soft, silky puddle in your arms…

I’m your guy.

Love,

We also believe in the importance of education about responsible pet ownership. We strive to educate our community about pet welfare, the benefits of spaying/neutering, and the prevention of animal abuse and neglect.

By adopting a pet from us, you are not only gaining a lifetime companion, but you are also contributing to our cause and helping us raise awareness. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of these innocent animals.

The DeKalb Humane Society filed for our Certificate of Incorporation on December 23, 1975 and we were granted 501(c)3 status in March of 1976. We are committed to being a no-kill shelter and serving the DeKalb County area.
