Salem and Suki are hoping their next chapter begins together.
These beautiful 4-year-old sisters recently came to our shelter after their owner fell on hard times. He loved them very much and was absolutely heartbroken when he had to move and could only take two of his four cats. Having to say goodbye to Salem and Suki was incredibly difficult, and we promised we would do everything we could to find them a wonderful home where they can stay side by side.
The girls are a bonded pair who have spent their whole lives together, so we are committed to keeping them that way. They are both incredibly sweet, just a little nervous as they adjust to all the new sights and sounds. Each day they’re getting braver and starting to show their true personalities.
Suki is the more outgoing sister and is already stepping up to greet visitors and ask for attention. Salem follows her lead and is quickly discovering that gentle pets, kind voices, and playtime are pretty great things too. Watching them gain confidence together has been really special.
These girls don’t ask for much…just a safe home, a few cozy spots to nap, and a family willing to open their heart to two little black cats who have already been through a big change.
