TINO AND LIONESS (BROTHER AND SISTER) ARE A BONDED PAIR THAT WILL BE ADOPTED TOGETHER. BOTH STILL NEED SPECIAL ATTENTION TO CONTINUE SOCIALIZING TO BE COMFORTABLE WITH PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY LIONESS. POTENTIAL ADOPTERS WILL BE SCREENED TO MAKE SURE THEY FIND THE BEST PERSON TO MATCH THEIR NEEDS. (Quiet home, no small children, etc)
I`m already able to be pretty happy discovering new things and playing with so many toys. If I wasn`t in an enclosed space, I would probably be more cautious or avoid people a little more for a little longer. I have a job to do though. I am needed to comfort Lioness and show her it`s okay to relax and be confident as she snuggles next to me or behind me so much of the time. We`ve never been out of a kennel except to get cuddle therapy, or be moved to an enclosed playpen where I have a lot of fun playing with electronic toys, and chasing wand toys that are irresistible to me when slipped in to get me going. When you reach to pet me, I freeze for a second, and then relax to be pet, almost normally. I usually duck my head some so I can pretend I don`t see your hand to enjoy what you`re doing. You can tell I really like it! Sometimes I still move away, mostly when I`m looking right at you and watching your hand coming close. I almost don`t mind anymore seeing your hand with food for me! I actually get a little excited when I see you`re holding a wand toy or treats! I`m the curious one and like to explore and climb. We both like sitting up on the high shelf in our condo. I`m ready to learn to use a cat tree. Using a wand to help me climb each step to play on would be a good way to show me what to do. If Lioness is out and hiding, will be stopping to see her often and may just go over and take a nap where she is so she feels better. She is beginning to be a little brave, and might just follow me out when I leave! She`ll be out with me when nobody else is around. She trusts me, and I like being her role model! We seem to like other cats and kittens when we`ve seen them around too. It`s obvious that I`m sweet and have a lot of potential to be happy, and bring a lot of joy to my home!

More about this shelter
The Colony Animal Services strives to protect andTCAS LOGO-UPDATED nurture The City of The Colony’s lost, homeless, abused, injured, and sick pets. We seek to provide animals the opportunity to be reclaimed, adopted, rehabilitated, or rescued. It is the mission for the Animal Service Officers and volunteers to pursue a positive synergy and to serve the citizens and pets of The Colony.
Animal Services is committed to saving each and every animal that comes into our care. Over the last few years, we have improved our live release rate to 97%. We hold our standards high at keeping this percentage, and in doing so, we ask our rescue partners and citizens to help us pursue finding our animals forever homes.
Every year, we get over a hundred injured and sick animals that need our help. In order for us to help them, we use our donated medical fund to give them the proper care and treatment they need. The only way for us to provide this needed medical care is through our generous financial donors. Every penny donated is sent to our medical fund. Please help us continue this much needed medical care for our animals by donating. Even if you cannot donate, it is a huge help to share posts on social media.
