My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Barni, a gentle and beautiful calico girl with the softest fur you’ve ever felt — and she knows it! This sweet young adult has a calm, easygoing personality and a heart full of quiet affection.

Barni can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once she decides you’re safe, her loving personality shines. She’ll happily throw her head into your hand for pets and absolutely melts for head scratches. One of her favorite places to be is curled up on your chest or lap, soaking up affection. If you need to move, she’s perfectly content settling nearby to keep you company.

Barni enjoys a nice balance of play and relaxation. She’s a fan of catnip toys (especially her “I’m a Big Dill” pickle) but also loves curling up in dark, cozy spots for a nap. She’s talkative in the sweetest way and will likely be ready for morning cuddles as soon as you wake up.

She would do best as the only pet in the home where she can soak up all the love and attention. Barni is fully litter trained, fine being picked up, and enjoys cuddles on her own terms.

If you’re looking for a soft, sweet companion to bring warmth and calm to your home, Barni may be your perfect match. 🐾

Barni is fixed, microchipped, FIV/FeLv negative, and up to date on vaccinations for her age.

More about this rescue

Twin Cities Pet Rescue (TCPR) is a small, 501c3 nonprofit, companion animal rescue organization. TCPR does not have a facility and is 100% foster-based. TCPR rescues dogs, cats and small animals of all breeds; rescuing them from city impounds, puppy mills, and other situations of abuse and neglect. Once rescued, all animals receive veterinary care ranging from spay/neuter, vaccines, microchips, and basic testing to specialty eye surgeries, pet dermatology care, and various other specialty treatments. Once an animal is rescued by TCPR, it remains in a foster home until adopted, no matter how long that might take.
TCPR often rescues animals that are considered “less adoptable” by other rescue organizations, as they are often the ones overlooked and truly left behind; and in need of the most help. These animals might be overlooked due to their age, health status, special needs or breed. TCPR works to help as many animals in need find their furever families as we can, especially helping those animals that need help most.
