My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mosaic - the whiskered masterpiece.

Some cats are cute. Some cats are pretty. Mosaic looks like she was personally painted by a fine artist with a particular fondness for calico perfection. With her patchwork coat and gentle presence, she's the kind of cat who makes a room feel calmer just by being in it.

Mosaic is a quiet (but not shy) loving lady who prefers to take in the world from her royal observation post. Whether that's a sunny windowsill, the back of a couch, or a cozy perch, she enjoys watching her kingdom with thoughtful eyes. Don't worry - she may be the queen, but she's a benevolent one. With the right person, she's more than willing to share her throne.

She adores gentle affection and being doted on (as any queen deserves). Give her a few loving pets, speak to her kindly, and you'll see just how sweet and devoted this beautiful girl can be.

If you're looking for a calm, elegant companion who will add a little beauty and serenity to your home, Mosaic might just be the missing piece of your life's picture.

More about this shelter

Founded in 1941 by the third female graduate from Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, SAVE is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit animal shelter dedicated to protecting the health and welfare of homeless companion animals in the greater Princeton area and beyond. Through six core programs of Rescue, Shelter, Health and Welfare, Spay/Neuter, Foster and Adoption.

The SAVE shelter facility has the capacity to house upwards of 100 animals at a time (approximately 75 cats and 25 dogs). The shelter exceeds no-kill benchmark standards and ensures that adoptable animals facing adversity are given a lifeline, a chance to flourish, and the promise of a better tomorrow.
