Meet Bates! Bates is a playful, friendly boy who loves attention and treats. He’s wiggly and bouncy when out of his kennel and enjoys relaxing with a chew when he’s calm. Bates is still learning leash skills but responds well to gentle guidance and verbal cues. Around other dogs, he stays calm and polite, making him easygoing and adaptable. With a patient, loving home, Bates is sure to bring lots of fun and energy to daily life. He`s spending time in a foster home but is still available to be adopted! Our adoption center is located at 575 Woodland Avenue in Madison, New Jersey. We are open for adoption on a walk-in basis daily 1:30-6 pm (Thursdays 3-6 pm). If you arrive after 5:30, there is a possibility we may not be able to complete an adoption that day. Please note that we cannot put animals on hold.

It operates animal shelters in Madison, North Branch and Ledgewood, New Jersey and one of the largest professional dog training and behavior centers in the country at its Madison campus. Humane Education and community outreach assistance are among its programs offered to the community. St. Hubert’s also provides animal control services by contract in several municipalities in proximity to the shelters.
