My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Stop it. You cannot possibly be that cute… can you?  Oh yes.  Yes, you can.   Meet Zeta.  Just look at this tiny bundle of sweetness with the most incredible irresistible inquisitive little face.  She may have started out as the smallest of the litter - the true runt - but she has always had the gentlest, most beautiful soul.  For her foster, it was love at first sight.  Zeta is a fighter.  She and her siblings were rescued during the bitter arctic blast of December 2025, when they were 8-9 weeks old.  They had been confined to a wire crate in an unheated garage and were suffering from what first appeared to be a routine upper respiratory infection.  But it was anything but routine. After weeks of careful treatment, dedication, and unwavering care, these resilient little ones finally turned the corner. It was a heartbreaking start to life, but they grew stronger every single day.  Despite everything, Zeta has always remained sweet and friendly, as did her littermates.  They can be a bit hesitant and cautious, but once they understand they are safe and surrounded by love, their true playful, affectionate personalities shine through.

Being the smallest meant her bigger littermates sometimes pushed ahead of her, but you would never know that now. She has blossomed and grown, matching her sisters Zuri and Zaya in size and confidence.  Zeta had the toughest time healing, yet she never gave up.  Extra special love and attention have always come her way.  Her biggest brother, Zane, has always taken her under his paw.  She keeps right up with him now, as well as her brother Zeke, whose white coat with playful black markings resemble her own.  They are simply adorable.  Zeta’s playful spirit shines.  She is a proud champion of the donut tunnel, sneaking in one end and pouncing out the other, before racing up the cat tower!  And when the wand toys come out?  Pure kitten joy. This foster mom needs more arms!  Two wands at a time is just not enough!  Such fun for all!  And letting this little love go will not be easy.  Zeta is one of those special kittens who tugs at your heart and makes you want to hold on just a little longer.  But deep down, her foster knows she deserves something extraordinary.  A home where she can have all the attention, constant affection, and the royal treatment.  She deserves to feel like she has truly hit the lottery!  Zeta, which means “little girl”, is a “seeker” of her forever home.  Is that your home?  If so, send in your application, quick!  Zeta is sure to be adopted, quick!  Contact Vivienne with CCR now at vivienneajames@gmail.com or 615-943-7311.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.

More about this rescue

We are a group of dedicated rescue people who want to save as many dogs and cats from the local shelters before they are euthanized. On the average....there are only 1 out of 10 animals that get adopted from a shelter. We are dedicated to helping increase pet adoptions by offering a shelter animal a foster home to go to while awaiting an adoptive family to find them. Won't you please adopt a shelter animal? Or won't you please help us foster a shelter animal while we are looking for their perfect home? What a gift you can give a dog or cat by giving them a place to feel safe and secure....a forever home or a foster home. Won't you help us at Critter Companion Rescue give them a chance to have a life?
