My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Acorn is a 5-6 month-old brown tabby with a thoughtful, observant personality and the sweetest little presence. She’s on the dainty side, but she carries herself with quiet confidence—tail held high, always taking in the world around her.

She’s naturally cautious and likes to assess things before diving in. A sudden noise? She’ll come check it out. Taking a shower? She needs to make sure everything is under control. Acorn is an investigator at heart, always curious and tuned in to what her people are doing.

Once she’s satisfied that all is well, she turns into a devoted snuggler. She’ll carefully circle your lap to find the perfect spot, then settle in for a cozy nap. She loves pets, happily offers her belly when she’s relaxed, and feels safe being picked up—often purring as soon as she’s in your arms.

Acorn would do best with someone who appreciates a kitten who thinks first, loves deeply, and bonds closely with her people. She’s a steady, affectionate companion with just the right touch of independence.

Acorn is fostered with her brother, Chestnut, in Coon Rapids - if you're looking for a pair of kittens, they'd be a lovely duo to stay together!

Kittens do so much better in pairs, socially and developmentally! They have a playmate and cuddle buddy, even when their humans are gone. For this reason, our rescue does not adopt out single kittens, to homes without another YOUNG cat(s).

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process is simple. The very first step is to fill out our adoption interest form through our website.

We'll look over your application and determine if the animal you are interested in is a good match for your family. If it looks like a good match, we will contact you to set up a time for you to meet the animal. If you decide after meeting him/her that you want to move forward with adoption, we will set up a home visit and finalize the adoption! Please note that filling out an interest form does not guarantee adoption of an animal, and we don't adopt out animals on a first come first serve basis. We endeavor to find the best match for all animals and families.

Adoption fees cover age appropriate vaccinations, spay/neuter (if old enough), and costs involved in caring for the animals up to the point of adoption. Adoption fees also help fund veterinary costs of animals who come to rescue that need extra care.
