My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Chestnut is a 5-6 month-old brown tabby with a bold, steady presence and a playful streak that keeps life interesting. Where his sister pauses to assess, Chestnut is often ready to step forward first—fearless, curious, and happy to stand right at her side.

He’s patient and polite, often waiting his turn for attention, but once it’s his moment he makes it count. Chestnut loves pets and will happily return the favor by grooming your hands in appreciation. He has a sweet habit of gently pulling you in with his paws to deliver enthusiastic little kisses.

Playtime is where he really shines. Jingly and tinkly balls are his absolute favorite, and once he’s in pursuit, nothing else matters. He’s eager, focused, and determined—an investigator who approaches life with confidence and his tail held proudly high.

Chestnut isn’t the biggest fan of being scooped up for long cuddles—he has places to explore and toys to conquer—but he’s deeply affectionate on his own terms. He would thrive in a home that appreciates a brave, interactive kitten who balances independence with genuine sweetness.

Chestnut is fostered with his sister Acorn, in Coon Rapids . If you're looking for a pair of kittens, they'd love to stay together!

Kittens do so much better in pairs, socially and developmentally! They have a playmate and cuddle buddy, even when their humans are gone. For this reason, our rescue does not adopt out single kittens, to homes without another YOUNG cat(s).

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process is simple. The very first step is to fill out our adoption interest form through our website.

We'll look over your application and determine if the animal you are interested in is a good match for your family. If it looks like a good match, we will contact you to set up a time for you to meet the animal. If you decide after meeting him/her that you want to move forward with adoption, we will set up a home visit and finalize the adoption! Please note that filling out an interest form does not guarantee adoption of an animal, and we don't adopt out animals on a first come first serve basis. We endeavor to find the best match for all animals and families.

Adoption fees cover age appropriate vaccinations, spay/neuter (if old enough), and costs involved in caring for the animals up to the point of adoption. Adoption fees also help fund veterinary costs of animals who come to rescue that need extra care.
