My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Pikachu: Resident Biscuit Maker and Chatterbox.

Looking for a cat with personality? Allow us to introduce Pikachu, a bright little spark of feline charm who has two main hobbies: making biscuits and talking about any and everything.

This friendly girl believes attention is not just appreciated - but required. Sit down for a moment and Pikachu will appear like magic; ready to supervise your day while kneading the world's most enthusiastically-made biscuit batch. Blankets, your lap, the air around her, everything gets kneaded.

But Pikachu isn't just a world-famous baker - she is a certified chatterbox. She loves to talk, narrate her day, and check in on what you're up to. Anytime is a perfect time for a conversation.

If you're looking for a quiet, mysterious cat...Pikachu would like you to know that is not her brand. She's affectionate, social, and happiest when she has a human audience for her biscuit-making skills and running commentary.

Adopt Pikachu and you'll never feel alone again - you'll have a best friend, a personal baker, and a tiny life coach who always has something to say.

More about this shelter

Founded in 1941 by the third female graduate from Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, SAVE is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit animal shelter dedicated to protecting the health and welfare of homeless companion animals in the greater Princeton area and beyond. Through six core programs of Rescue, Shelter, Health and Welfare, Spay/Neuter, Foster and Adoption.

The SAVE shelter facility has the capacity to house upwards of 100 animals at a time (approximately 75 cats and 25 dogs). The shelter exceeds no-kill benchmark standards and ensures that adoptable animals facing adversity are given a lifeline, a chance to flourish, and the promise of a better tomorrow.
