My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Here’s a warm, friendly adoption write-up for Wiggles and Waddles that you can use on shelter listings or social posts:

Meet Wiggles & Waddles – A Bonded Pair of Parakeets Looking for Their Forever Home!
Wiggles and Waddles are an adorable bonded duo who do everything together. These two bring double the charm, double the chatter, and double the joy. Whether they’re exploring their toys, sharing a perch, or softly chattering to each other, their connection is unmistakable.
About Them
• Bonded pair – they must be adopted together
• Social and curious – enjoy watching the world and interacting with their favorite people
• Playful – love swings, mirrors, and shreddable toys
• Great companions – their gentle, cheerful nature makes them a delight to have around
Wiggles and Waddles are looking for a home that can give them space to stretch their wings, plenty of enrichment, and lots of patience and kindness. With a calm environment and consistent attention, they’ll continue to grow more confident and connected with their humans.
If you’re ready for a pair of colorful, chatty friends who will brighten your day, Wiggles and Waddles are waiting to meet you!

Additional adoption info

We've got awesome dogs, cats and other critters waiting for new families to come and adopt! The adoption process begins online, and all adoptions are done by appointment only. To reduce the animals' overall stress levels, we have decided to limit animal viewing to those people with appointments for specific animals.

How it works:

1. Check out our available animals online. If you see an animal you’re interested in, fill out that species adoption questionnaire at https://www.everettwa.gov/161/Adopt-a-Pet to start the adoption process. Please be sure to include the name of the animal that you are interested in adopting. Questionnaires will only be reviewed if a specific animal is identified. You aren't obligated to adopt that pet, but it's a place to start.

2. Our staff will review your questionnaire and contact you to discuss the adoption. Please note that it often takes several days before you are contacted. We appreciate your patience! (If it has been longer than one week and you haven’t heard from us, please email us.)

3. Most animals will be available to go home the same day as the adoption meeting.

Adoptions by Appointment
Our shelter is currently closed for general animal viewing, but we’ve still got awesome dogs, cats and other critters waiting for new families to come and adopt them. To help keep our staff, volunteers and community healthy, we are now providing adoptions by appointment. This enables us to comply with social distancing guidelines while still finding loving homes for the pets in our care.
