We do all adoptions with approved applicants by appointment ONLY. If you are interested in adopting, please contact us via email at jcasreception@JohnsonCounty.in.us or call 317-738-6090 during regular business hours. We will happily help get an application to you.
Once an application is submitted and approved, we can contact you to set an appointment to meet the pet!
Our adoption fee is $200.00 for dogs, $125 for kittens under 6 months of age and $100 for all cats 6 months and older. This will include a rabies vaccination (if age appropriate), spay or neuter, a microchip with registration.

More about this shelter
We are the all admittance shelter in Johnson County, we are not a 501c3, but a county run facility. We try our best to place each and every animal. We also house all animals picked up by Animal Control therefore; we intake a high volume of animals each year.
