Their adoption process
$70 adoption fee unless otherwise specified. Adopters must fill out a questionnaire or be interviewed to insure pet compatibility. Foster parent reserves the right to ask for a home visit. All adopters fill out our standard contract.
Go meet their pets
Our regular adoption events are Saturdays from 1-3 PM at our downtown Sylva location. For other times, contact the foster parent for an appointment.

Humane Society of Jackson County (ARF) has served the community since 1978. We run monthly spay/ neuter trips, transport animals north, and rescue from shelters. We also help owners to foster or keep their pets by facilitating spay and neuter, vet checks, and other services.
