Gem, a velvety, grey tabby with white bib and mittens, is a timid little lady. Barely out of her teens, at 2 1/2 years old she has endured much upheaval and as a result has a tendency to be difficult to get to know. If you're quick and can catch her pile on the cuddles and ear tickles. She'll reward you with a round of delicious purrs. Gem and her buddy Care Bear were adopted about 18 months ago but were recently abandoned by their owner at Animal Services. Fortunately ACA was advised and brought them back into our program. Looking for a new home for these two is a priority and because of what they’ve been through we hope they can be adopted together. Up to the challenge of earning this sweet girl's trust? Then consider Gem and her buddy Care Bear.
