My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, Arnie beagle here. Or as foster dad and mom call me, wiggly butt, or goof ball. Meet me and you will understand.

I know I am very cute, sweet and adorable. But please, try to stop looking at my pictures for a minute, and read what my foster home has to say about me. I know it will be hard since I am so handsome, (and modest), but please try.I am definitely a ladies man. Sometimes it seems I am unsure of foster dad, and will go to foster mom instead. I have some other moments where I seem unsure also, like at sudden loud noises, or coming in the patio doors.

I get along great with my foster sisters, and the younger one and we play together a LOT. We spend hours outside playing, then come in and wrestle in the bedroom at night. Check out our video we made attached to my bio. There are a couple more videos of me you can check out after that one is done. You have to see my Tigger impersonation, the video is called “jump Arnie”, also check out “crazy Arnie”.

Oh how I love my stuffed toys, and emptying the toy box. My record is foster dad having to pick up 18 toys in the yard. Sometimes I do get a little overworked and get mouthy, but I am learning that it is not appropriate. But when I am done playing, I am content to lay on the couch and relax. Laying on foster mom’s lap is one of my favorite things to do.

We have a fenced yard here, and that would probably be best in my new home. I am not high energy, but I like to get my exercise. I LOVE to be outside! If you don’t have a fence, I would definitely need a couple of walks a day or trips to the Dog Park, or doggie day care visits to help keep my energy burned off. Foster dad has put me on a tie out and I did all right. I just can’t seem to understand that when there is no fence in my way, why can’t just go where ever I want to.

We have gone for a couple of short walks. I do all right with this also. Typical beagle walk, but foster dad says it leans more towards the better side. I do like to set a brisk pace. Gotta get where you are going don’t ya know.I am crated during the day and I don’t have any problems with it. I will not go in willingly (hey, would you?) but once in, I might whimper for a minute, but then all is good. They are currently crating me at night. Something about foster dad getting his sleep, but I just curl up and sleep all night. And in the morning wait patiently for you to let me out. Foster mom and dad have left me out of the crate for a few hours during the day, and a couple of nights, and I did well for both.

Car rides are one thing that really seems to make me nervous. Foster daddy suggests crating me to start in the car, for mine, and your safety. He has been taking me on short rides to get me used to being in the car.

Overall I am just a great young boy.
