Heathcliff is in a foster home and his foster mom shares these things about him: "Heathcliff is may have a sad, serious expression but he definitely has got a goofy and loving heart! He is a Shepherd/Lab mix and about four years young. Although initially a little wary of strangers, Heathcliff is really worth getting to know because once he trusts you he becomes so affectionate and sweet. He gets very attached and adoring of his people. He is much more of a teddy bear than a guard dog. Heathcliff weighs between 50 and 60 pounds, but he likes to think he’s a lap dog and is always ready to cuddle up on the couch with you! He also can be quite the clown at times and enjoys tossing his toys around and playing with his foster sister (a small beagle mix). Heathcliff has been fine with the other dogs he’s met so far, and has even learned to tolerate the cat. He is house trained when given enough bathroom breaks outside. Heathcliff has also learned how to sit and come on command- it takes a bit of repetition to get through to him, but he is always enthusiastic and eager to please (especially when treats are involved). Boy would Heathcliff love a nice yard to run around in, and a permanent home with people he can be with forever and ever. With one look into those sad puppy-dog eyes you are sure to fall in love... luckily for you Heathcliff is ready and waiting to find you too!
