My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Birthdate: 6/18/11

Gender: Female, spayed

Breed: Black Lab/Doberman mix

Siblings: Wynn, Treasure, Mirage, Hilton, Bellagio, Tropicana, Caesar, Nugget, Harrah

They might be named after Vegas Casinos, but this spunky litter is nicknamed the “Mexican jumping beans” at the shelter because if you show them the slightest attention, they all jump for joy.

Life wasn’t always quite so joyful for this large litter of nine pups. When they first arrived at the shelter, they were nothing but tiny skeletons wrapped in fur. They had been found abandoned in a foreclosed house. When they arrived at New Lease on Life, they were so thrilled to discover that we had lots and lots of yummy food for them.

Since then, life has been great. With their bellies full and tons of petting, they have thrived and grown into the gorgeous pups you see now without a care in the world. They love absolutely everyone they meet, and each and every one of them is destined to fill their new home with affection for many years.

We believe these pups are Black Lab/Doberman mixes. We’re estimating an adult weight of 50–60 pounds, so potential adopters should plan on a large dog once they’re all grown up.

They are not yet housebroken, but with some time and patience, we have no doubt they’ll pick it up before you know it. We recommend crate training as the easiest way to housebreak a puppy, and we’d be happy to give you some pointers.

All of the pups have been very well socialized with other dogs. They LOVE to play with their siblings and everyone else who will play with them. They have also had plenty of experience with people and kids.

The puppies have already been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed and flea treated, so they’re ready to join your family. You can meet them at the shelter any time during adoption hours, Thursday through Sunday 5 to 8pm, or call 330–397–8270 to schedule an appt to meet them at another time or on another day. They are ready to go home right away.
