My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Wheeler thanks his lucky stars that a nice man who works as a bartender happened to be outside his home late one night after he got home from work for a smoke. Poor Wheeler (named for one of Karen's favorite neighbors) had been living on the street, and was thin and starving and a victim of Demodex Mange. Thank goodness this man found him sitting on his doorstep. This man and his girlfriend worked to find any possible owner, meanwhile feeding and caring for Wheeler. No one came forward, so Wheeler is now in foster care and is finishing up his medication for treatment of his Demodex. Good nutrition and medicated baths have made a big difference for him, so his hair has grown back in smooth and shiny, and he has only a little ways to go till his treatment is done. Lab and one of the Bully breeds seem to comprise this active pup, who our vet thinks is now about 8 months old. He is scheduled for a neuter surgery this month, and is UTD on all vaccines, and is looking for a forever home where he would have canine, as well as human, company since he is very social. He gets along fine with big and little dogs in his foster home, is now house-trained and knows SIT and WAIT commands. Loves extra-durable chew toys and running fast, then plops down and zonks out when he has played his heart out. Extremely fun.
