Here's what the humans have to say about me:
DOB November 1, 2010. When most people think of Newton, they think of the famous scientist Isaac Newton- who improved our understanding of the Universe- using some funny-looking symbols to make sense of some pretty confusing science. Not a lot of people know this, but Newton is also the name of a great big caramel-coloured hunk of deliciousness, all wrapped up in ‘foxy’ and fabulous feline form (check out his cute pointy ears and poofy tail-tip to see how fox-like he is!). Newton the cat isn’t really known for his mind-blowing scientific theories (not yet, anyway!), but he still totally improves the universe of everybody he meets- through his purrrfectly fabulous kitty-personality!
Newton the scientist… he taught us things like: ‘for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction’….and Newton the cat shares loads of profound universal truths with his peeps too (it’s easy to become one of his peeps- cos he loves everyone!). For example- he’s already explained to us that ‘for every friendly pet given, there is an exceptionally appreciative purr of approval to be received’. Wow. Deep, or what?!
Our Newton isn’t half as famous as the other one, but we reckon that he’s a damned sight cuter. He’s got the whole ‘California beach bum’ look down pat- with a mop of gorgeous strawberry blonde hair that just begs to be ruffled (it’s getting really soft and stroke-able now that he’s getting good food!), and an equally impressive manly physique (he weighs in at a whopping 12.5lbs, and it’s all muscle, baby!) You really need to check out his furry feet -with their totally tickle-worthy toe-tufts, too.
This Newton might look like he’s built to rumble, but he is definitely a lover and not a fighter- he was rescued with a few battle-scars, which we think he got while refusing to fight back when push came to shove in the ‘hood. In his foster home he handles jerk-ish behaviour from the other cats by just mooching off and finding somewhere else to chill out- cos he’s a totally civilised pacifist, dude. In fact, he’s so laid back, that sometimes our Newton just nods off right in the middle of whatever he’s doing - if he realises that he needs a nap while he’s playing with his toys on the living room rug, he takes it then and there- with his mouse in paw! What a guy- so refreshingly liberated and self-assured.
Your feline Newton is still just a baby in cat terms, despite being fully grown- we think he’s about 18 months old, which makes him an older teenager -with his best years still ahead of him. He’s mature enough that you can trust him to behave like a gentleman, and he won’t have a total panic attack if you go out for a few hours-unlike needy and naughty little kittens. He’s still got the enthusiasm of a youth, so he is ready to play at the drop of a hat-especially if you have a laser toy (he finds them very perplexing- clearly he’s not a great scientist!). He’s also very keen on toys that involve bouncing around, chasing feathers and ribbons on a stick –which he does just like he’s in the mosh-pit of an awesome rock concert. Awww. Rock on, kitty Newton, rock on!
Got room in your heart and home for a guy like Newton? Call us, and find out about how you can meet him.
