My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Birthdate: 2/5/13

Gender: Male

Breed: Yellow Lab mix

Brace yourself for the cuteness because here he comes.

Meet Scooter! Isn’t he adorable? How could anyone ever give up this utterly adorable pup? Not only is he gorgeous, but he has a personality to match.

Scooter thinks he’s a baby. You can cradle him upside down in your arms, and he will happily drift off to sleep. He loves to be wrapped up in blankets and snuggled. He even enjoys it when the little girl in his foster home dresses him up.. .. even though it’s sometimes in girlie clothes.

And when there’s no one to pet him, he loves to play with his canine foster sibling, Gretchen, who is so big that tiny Scooter’s entire body is barely the size of her head since she’s a purebred German Shepherd. But thankfully Gretchen is always very gentle with him as he tries to be a big boy and wrestle with her. His other foster sibling, a cat, waits for Scooter to lay down for a nap then uses him as a canine heating pad, snuggling up to him at naptime.

We believe Scooter is a Yellow Lab mix. What else might be in his mix is anyone’s guess. Only time will tell. Based on his current age and size though, we’re expecting him to be around 50 to 60 pounds as an adult.

Scooter has started on housebreaking with his foster family, but he’s still very young and can’t hold his bladder for long, so potential adopters should expect some accidents in the beginning as he learns your routine. He picked up on the concept quickly, so we have no doubt that he will be a potty expert before long.

Ready to meet this cutie? Scooter is currently in foster care, but he would love to meet you. Please call 330-397-8270 to schedule an appt. Scooter is not yet neutered, but this will happen BEFORE he goes home with a new family. In order to reserve him, you must come out to meet him and fill out an adoption application. If approved, you must leave a 50% deposit ($100) to hold him for your family. He will then go home at 8 weeks old after his neuter.
