My story

Duncan had run out of time at a local shelter. He had found himself with no one to help after laying in the shelter for 4 weeks with a broken leg after presumably being hit by a car. We saw his sweet face and knew we had to help. Duncan's leg was splinted and he was put on cage rest allowing his leg time to heal. Duncan is one of the sweetest labrador mixes ever. He is estimated to be 1 1/2 years. Duncan loves other dogs, cats are unknown ( his foster does not have cats but he can be cat tested for an approved adopter) Duncan will need to go to a home with a fenced yard as he LOVES to run ( and he is fast!) he enjoys chasing after any toy you throw in the yard or in the house, he does well on car rides and is crate trained. Duncan is very full of life and loves everything he meets. Please go to www.boxerbuttsandothermutts.org for an application on Duncan.

Why adoption is a great option

Duncan, a Arden Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Arden, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Arden.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Arden already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Arden breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Arden paves the way for another one to be saved.
