Anderson Humane is not responsible for any unsuccessful adoptions. Freya is looking for a loving forever home! I am relocating overseas and unfortunately cannot take her. I am looking for a patient, experienced cat lover to welcome Freya into their home. She would do best in a quiet home with no children and no other pets. Freya is 6 years old (DOB 12/30/19), spayed female. She was adopted March 2020 at 8 weeks old. She is a "Covid Kitty," adopted the week before Lockdown started so she didn't have much socialization. Freya has anxious tendencies and can take a while to warm up to people. Once she understands that she can trust you, she will be extremely affectionate, playful, and snuggly. She likes to be held and cuddled, but it needs to be on her own terms. We call her a princess as she can be a bit sassy. She prefers to have the choice to climb on you while you're relaxing rather than be picked up without warning. She has been known to gently bite or swat at guests who pick her up out of nowhere. Freya is great in the car and I have taken her on several road trips. She might even jump into your car in the driveway just to play in it! However she does get very stressed at the vet’s office and can be aggressive so she needs anti-anxiety medication administered before vet trips. She has sometimes needed sedation at the vet's office so new owners should be aware that this can be a small added expense. I am also starting her on Fluoxetine, a daily anti-anxiety medicine to help manage the stress of the rehoming process. If she does well on it, her new family might choose to keep her on it long-term. Other than anxiety, Freya has no health issues. She is an indoor-outdoor cat and needs to be able to go outside when the weather is nice but sleep safely inside at night. I love Freya very much and hope to find a new family who would stay in touch to update me on her once in a while.

Story
Meet Kona. Born around January 1, 2024, this striking Siamese boy looks like he stepped straight out of a painting, with his dark creamy coat, rich chocolate points, and piercing icy blue eyes that seem to study everything around him. He’s the kind of cat you can’t help but admire—elegant, thoughtful, and quietly captivating. Kona is still a very shy boy who isn’t quite ready for hands-on affection. Right now, he’s more of a “look, don’t touch” masterpiece, observing the world from a safe distance while he learns to trust. He will need a very patient and dedicated adopter who understands that building a relationship with him will take time, consistency, and a gentle approach. But for the right person, the reward of watching him slowly open up will be something truly special. Despite his reserved nature, Kona has a voice—and he isn’t afraid to use it. He’s quite vocal and expresses himself through a variety of soft, thoughtful meows, as if he’s narrating his own inner world. It’s one of the many ways he connects, even while he’s still figuring out how to feel safe. Kona is looking for a calm, quiet home without children, where he can settle in at his own pace. He may do well with other young, playful cats, as their presence could help build his confidence and give him companionship without pressure from people. Kona isn’t the kind of cat who will rush into your arms—but he is the kind who, with time and patience, may choose you. If you’re someone who understands that trust is earned slowly and values the quiet beauty of a shy soul learning to feel safe, Kona may be exactly who you’ve been waiting for. Could you be the safe space he’s been searching for? Story
Meet Ida. Born around July 1, 2025, this petite lynx point Siamese may be small in size, but she more than makes up for it with her enormous capacity for love—and her soft, light blue eyes that seem to melt the moment she looks at you. Ida is a true people cat at heart. Her favorite place in the world is right in your lap, and if it were up to her, she would happily spend her entire day curled up there, soaking in affection and giving it right back. She’s gentle, devoted, and thrives on that close connection with her person. While she adores people, Ida can be a bit sensitive when it comes to new situations and loud or busy environments. Because of this, she would do best in a calmer home where she can feel safe and settle in at her own pace. Once she’s comfortable, her sweet, affectionate personality really shines. Ida does well with other cats and would likely enjoy having a feline friend, especially one who can match her youthful energy and give her a playmate when she’s feeling a little more adventurous. Despite her love of lounging, she’s still a young cat with playful moments sprinkled in between all that cuddling. With her striking looks, gentle nature, and those beautiful light blue eyes, Ida is the kind of cat who forms a deep bond with her people. She’s simply waiting for the right home to give her the comfort and love she’s been looking for—and a lap she can finally call her own.
