Story
These beautiful, wonderful 13-year-old cats belonged to the mother of my boss. She unfortunately now has to be given around-the-clock care in a facility, and is unable to bring her cats with her. These girls are a bonded pair, and are the sweetest. They haven’t been around children, so I cannot say with certainty how they would act, but they get along well with dogs. They are very calm and easygoing.

Story
Meet Handsome! This sweet senior guy is 13 years old and was in need of rescue after his owner died late last year. A friend of the owner took him in until rescue could be found and she got him right in to a vet. Handsome got his teethies cleaned and his other medical services updated; luckily, he’d been neutered a long time ago when he was just a young whippersnapper! Handsome has always been an indoor kitty and is incredibly friendly and cuddly. He loves nothing more than to snuggle up with his foster and get plenty of affection. He enjoys playing with toys, his nighttime zoomies and seeing just how loud he can purr- he’s the expert at this! Handsome would love a second chance at a new forever home. Just make sure that your lap is readily available! Interested in adopting? Please visit our website at www.thecatsmeowanimalrescue.org to fill out an application. Story
Hello, I'm Poppy. As a female Siamese mix, I have blue eyes and white hair. My age is about 6 months. I am sweet and gentle when I play with my foster family, especially the little one (12-month baby). Because I am a very energetic kitty, I would prefer a home with another playful kitty like me so we can burn off all our energy together. There are two adult dogs and one adult cat in my foster home, and I get along with them well. In my spare time, I enjoy staring out the window at the birds or playing with all my toys. I love spending my downtime cuddling with my foster parents under the sheets or snuggled with one of the animals. I’m looking forward to doing all of these things with you! Interested in adopting? Story
If you're looking for a cat with personality, meet Betty White! This golden girl isn’t just cute; she’s got more sass than a whole season of "Golden Girls." Betty came to us after her human fell on hard times and could no longer care for her, but now she’s on the mend and ready to live her best life. With a clean bill of health and some pep in her step, this senior lady is ready to start her next chapter! Betty loves a good ear scratch, and don’t even think about stopping before she’s had her fill. If you dare, she’ll let you know with a vocal reminder that she deserves more! She's as chatty as they come, but what else would you expect from a diva like Betty? When she’s not demanding your attention, she enjoys lounging in a sunny spot, looking fabulous as always. At her age, Betty is looking for a loving home where she can enjoy her golden years in comfort and style. She’s earned it. If you have the heart (and the hands) to spoil her with ear scratches and a cozy spot on the couch, Betty White just might be your perfect match. Ready to make this sassy senior queen the newest member of your family? Come meet Betty today and prepare to fall in love! Interested in adopting? Hi, Tim here! Have you ever heard of Elf on a shelf, well, now I am cat on a shelf.. if you are looking for a Kitty, that is not particularly affectionate, will not seek you out and sit on your lap, but will look absolutely stunningly gorgeous from Afar and allow for you to pet him then I might be the one for you. I am definitely great with dogs and cats. People, I prefer that you pet me with your eyes. Not to say that I don't love all the typical cat things purchase beds, toys, good food all the finer things in life, including fresh boxes, from your deliveries, to cat around in. If you are looking for a companion gorgeous boy to add to your home that does not want to be a lap cat, then please text. 424-501-5769 and complete the application online at www.rescuemepets.com/forms

Story
Picasso is a total Love Bug! ❤️ His foster informed me that he loves to be kissed and to be held. He’s a handsome, blue-eyed gentleman, who’s about 8 years old and he weighs 15 pounds. He's a partially blind, neutered kitty that lived in one of the colonies where I feed. He was living in a dirty, loud, smelly junkyard but now he’s safe with his amazing foster who only has good things to say about this affectionate boy. ❤️ Picasso’s foster has generously taken care of all of his vet bills recently and makes sure he has everything he needs so that he could officially be put up for adoption. He has had a recent, deep cleaning of his teeth as well. During his first vet visit, the vet informed us that our Love Bug tested positive for Feline leukemia virus (FeLV). This does NOT mean Picasso can’t live a happy and healthy life. His vet found him to show no symptoms and overall, is still a happy LOVABLE and HEALTHY kitty! Even though he is partially blind (confirmed now by his vet and foster), he uses his litter box like a champion and doesn’t seem to struggle with anything. He’s extremely gentle with humans and cats, however, because he tested positive for FELV, he will have to be the only cat in a home or live with other cats who have also tested positive. ❤️ Picasso is so full of LOVE! He is a SPECIAL cat! Anytime you’re around him he will make you smile big and want your affection and pets. He’s a total ham and seems to love the ladies more. 😂❤️ He will melt your heart! I PROMISE!

Story
Meet Molly, a beautiful, gray and white Snowshoe with big, round, green eyes and a gentle disposition. Molly was still just a kitten herself when she was abandoned outside to fend for herself. She got pregnant and delivered 5 gorgeous kittens. When her babies were around 4 weeks of age, a good samaritan reached out for help and found a foster who's done a great job caring for the precious family. At first, Molly was very shy and fearful since living on the mean streets at such a young age. But with excellent socialization techniques by her foster mom, she's learned how to trust and even play with her kittens - like a littermate! Molly LOVES to be pet, scratched and brushed and will begin purring upon contact. She'll need an adopter who'll know how to care for a longer-haired cat. Ideally, we'd like her to be placed in a loving home with her, mini me, Red - but we'd be open to a home where she would have another companion cat. You'll find her full rescue journey chronicled in Photo Album #33 on our Facebook page: "Save The Leadwell Kitties" (including video and photo updates on ALL our cats and kittens). Be sure to check out her adoption video and fall in L-O-V-E!! Molly's adoption will include her: * Spay surgery, * De-worming, * FVRCP vaccinations, * Rabies vaccination, * Combo-test (for FIV/FeLV = negative), * Flea and mite treatment (with Revolution), * and Microchipping ~ $150. adoption fee, adoption contract and home check apply / $250 for a pair ~ * Please only contact us if you'll be making this stunning girl a permanent member of your household and will be keeping her safe indoors. ** We do not adopt out kittens or cats where they will be the only pet at home. Kittens rely on each other for emotional support and continued social and behavioral development. For example: another kitten or cat will teach them when they're playing too rough or biting too hard. Plus, cats and kittens get very lonely when you're not at home! Having a playmate will keep them happier, healthier and out of trouble. **We offer a discount when adopting a pair! *** You can also find all our adoptables on our Facebook page: "Save The Leadwell Kitties" (including their rescue story, photos and video updates). Interested in becoming a much-needed foster? Please send us a message with your best contact info, the type of home environment you can provide and, most-importantly, the City in which you live. Thanks!

Story
Abby (born July 2024) is an intelligent beauty who thoughtfully reads the room before jumping into play. She loves vertical space, and cat trees or wall mounts are recommended for her climbing nature. She is a soccer star and dribbles and chases ping pong balls with style. Abby (rescued along with her brother Benji) is a shy foster and an independent soul. She is always near but doesn't like over-handling. The way to her heart is with play. She will run to partake, but not if other kitties are too rough. She could do well as a solo kitty. She particularly loves bedtime to socialize – jumping up on your bed to purr, head butt and cuddle – happily settling nearby to snooze alongside you. Abby has a soft ticked tabby coat and big, beautiful gold green eyes. (maybe Abyssinian mix?) At mealtime, Abby is not shy and chirps or squeals for attention. In a loving, peaceful home, her confidence will shine with time, and she will delight with her energy and sweet presence.

Story
This beautiful long-haired Siamese is available for adoption! He gets along well with both cats and dogs but prefers to keep his distance from humans—he’s independent by nature, and his adopter should be comfortable with that. Sassy is fully vetted, up-to-date on vaccinations, and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV. If you're interested in Sassy or any other cat or kitten, please fill out this questionnaire to schedule an in-person meeting in the North Hollywood area. https://sibamedia.wixsite.com/lpotv/cat-questionnaire

Story
Ellie Mae got rescued by VFTA a few years ago. She was super shy at the beginning and still needs a little time to gain trust but once she trusts a person, she happily comes for cuddles. Ellie Mae gets along well with other cats, however she ideally should live with a cat that is not Alfa since Ellie Mae is such a sensitive kittie. She would be so happy to find a forever home with someone calm who gives her a lot of love and attention

Adopting a Balinese

Frequently asked questions about acquiring an Balinese - the pros and cons of adopting versus going through a breeder, and associated costs.

The cost of a Balinese cat can vary depending on factors such as the cat’s lineage, age, color, and breeder reputation. On average, you can expect to pay between $500 and $2,000 for a Balinese kitten from a reputable breeder. Show-quality or rare color variations may be priced higher.

Balinese cats are generally considered to be on the more expensive side compared to some other cat breeds due to their desirable traits and limited availability.

The easiest way to adopt a Balinese cat is through a rescue that specializes in them. A great place to start would be by starting a breed search on AdoptaPet.com. The search will show you all the available Balinese cats in your area.

Balinese fun facts

Fun Facts:

iamese breeders were vexed over the chance of Longhaired Siamese destroying the pure bloodlines, so the name "Siamese Longhair" was out. Breeder Helen Smith assigned the name "Balinese," in honor of the cat's elegant movements mimicking Balinese dancers.

In 2008, the Balinese breed expanded to include the offshoot breed, the Javanese, which is a hybrid of the Balinese and Colorpoint Shorthairs.

The Balinese and the Javanese are identical except for color.
