Our family has recently made the very difficult decision to move back to China, and unfortunately, we are not able to take Lavender with us. ❤️ Special Home Needed for a Very Special Girl ❤️ Sometimes the cats who need us the most aren't the ones who immediately climb into our laps. We have a beautiful 4-year-old brown Siamese girl who came to us after being picked up by ACS with her kittens. Her babies are friendly, happy little kitties, but Momma is a different story. This beautiful girl is spicy, frightened, and unsure of people. She cannot be held right now, and the world can still be a pretty scary place for her. But we don't believe that means she doesn't deserve a loving home. We believe she simply needs someone who is willing to give her time, patience, and the chance to learn that she is safe. 🐾 Since coming into rescue, she has been spayed and brought up to date on her vaccinations, so now we're hoping to find the special person who will take the next step with her. 🏡 We are looking for a patient, understanding adopter who doesn't expect an instant lap cat. Someone who will let her come out of her shell at her own pace. Someone who understands that sitting quietly in the same room, offering treats, playing with a wand toy, or simply giving her a safe place to observe the world can be a huge step forward. Maybe she will never be the type of cat who wants to be carried around. And that's okay. Maybe her way of saying "I love you" will be sitting beside you instead of on your lap. Maybe she'll eventually accept a gentle touch. Maybe she'll surprise us all. Teacup is a clever, sweet girl who brings the perfect mix of independence and affection. She’s an absolute dream housemate who listens to boundaries (a gentle reminder keeps her off counters!) and sticks strictly to her scratching post. When she isn't quietly watching the world from a window sill, she loves chin scratches, rolling over for a brushing, or burrowing under the bed covers for an afternoon nap. She keeps her chatting to a minimum—until you open a can of wet food, which she will loudly celebrate! Once comfortable, she shows off her playful side, happily tossing mouse toys across the floor.
