Aurora was one of seven, 7-month old puppies that were found abandoned on the streets in horrible condition. They were picked up by animal control and taken to the local shelter. Soon after arrival, they found themselves scheduled for euthanasia due to all of them having sarcoptic mange — a highly contagious skin infection transferable to both humans and dogs, yet treatable with medications and time. We knew these seven wondrous souls deserved a chance at life and needed our help to heal. After being saved from euthanasia, these Seven Wonders pups were kept in isolation at Heidi’s Village, where they received the intensive medical treatments they desperately needed. After two months, our young puppies are now fully recovered and ready to experience a life full of love and joy. Aurora is just one of the Seven Wonders looking for families who will be patient and help them learn what having a home really means, including everything from a sense of safety to the warmth of a loving embrace. We know that happy endings are just around the corner for Aurora! Each puppy’s adoption fee includes his/her completed veterinary exams, completed medical treatments, vaccines, spay/neuter and microchip. He is amazing with all people, dogs of all sizes and even cats! He is doing great with his house training and just so smart. Kylo is a 4-year-old Pit-Basenji mix who has been part of our family for 2 ½ years. We rescued him with so much hope and love, and he has brought us countless moments of joy. He’s a sweet, loving, and loyal companion—the ultimate “human’s dog.” He adores attention, loves being near people, and is a master snuggler. He’s particularly fond of being the small spoon during cuddle sessions! Kylo also gives the best hugs and has an incredible knack for listening and connecting with people.   Kylo knows a variety of commands, including sit, down, stay, come, leave it, and place. He is eager to please and enjoys learning.   Unfortunately, Kylo doesn’t get along with our older male dog. We’ve tried everything we can but ultimately feel it’s best for everyone’s safety to find Kylo a home where he can thrive as an only pet. We are committed to finding him a loving home where he gets all the love and attention he deserves!
