This super loving, fun, gorgeous, unique boy is Togo!! He’s a wonderfully happy, good pup and from the moment he came into the pound, everyone knew he was so so special! He made fast friends with every person and animal he met, and everyone knew he has unlimited potential to be the best dog ever! Thankfully a wonderful volunteer agreed to take him home to foster until he finds his dream home! Togo is just 8 months old, and his weight full grown is estimated to be a perfectly petite 40 lbs. He’s been to the vets, and he does absolutely wonderful there. He’s now had all of his vaccines and deworming completed! He has heartworm tested negative and he is current on preventative. He has also been microchipped and neutered! He’s a healthy, happy baby and he can’t wait to find love! In his foster home Togo has shown what a truly incredible dog he is with everyone. He makes friends with every single dog he meets. He’s always happy with a wagging tail, looking to play and socialize with any pup regardless of size, age, breed, etc. He is living with a cat and he does great with her too! He may on occasion try to puppy play with her, and is just so loving with all animals. When this guy meets new people of all ages, he’s looking to give kisses, maybe play some catch, and snuggle! He’s a lover of toys, fetching balls and sticks, hiking, car rides, and cuddle sessions on movie nights. He’s been very good on leash and he’s doing great at reliably going potty outside! Togo is definitely a handsome boy, but his greatest asset is truly is loving, outgoing, social butterfly temperament. He’s great with everyone and is just looking to find a warm loving home to build a beautiful future with. Toby is a 6-year-old neutered Basenji who is up to date on all vaccinations and looking for a special home that understands his needs and will give him the love and stability he deserves. He is completely house-trained and spends much of his day happily curled up in his cozy bed, catching up on naps. While he enjoys relaxing indoors, he also needs an active home where he can get regular exercise. He loves running around the backyard on a long lead, playing fetch, and during the winter, you'll find him leaping into the air to catch snowballs—his absolute favorite game! Toby cannot be off-leash and should always be in a securely managed environment. He is also afraid of water and does not enjoy baths. Around the people he knows and trusts, Toby is a sweet, affectionate cuddle bug. He loves curling up in laps, giving kisses, and spending quality time with his family. Having a safe space of his own is very important to him. His crate, complete with a soft bed, serves as his cozy retreat where he feels secure and comfortable. Toby warms up to new people fairly quickly when introductions are calm and positive, especially if they come bearing some of his favorite treats! Cheese, peanut butter, bananas, and just about any kind of meat are sure ways to win him over. He also enjoys chewing on bully sticks and stuffed Kongs. Because of his behavioral needs, Toby requires an experienced and understanding home. He has fear-based aggression, food aggression, and guarding behaviors that will need continued management and respect for his boundaries. He would do best as the only pet in the home, as he is not compatible with other dogs or cats. Toby does well with respectful children ages 8 and older. His ideal home is one that is patient, calm, active, and committed to helping him feel safe and secure. In return, he will reward his trusted people with loyalty, affection, cuddles, and plenty of personality. These super cute girls have spent their entire lives on their own until they were recently rescued. Despite their rough beginnings, Mary Ann and Ginger are incredibly sweet and are now learning to enjoy the comforts of a loving home. Both Mary Ann and Ginger get along wonderfully with other dogs, though they haven't had the chance to meet any cats yet. They need a patient adopter who will give them the time and space they need to adjust to their new surroundings and discover the joys of being cherished pets. Ginger, who bravely underwent heartworm treatment, is now healthy and heartworm negative. Both dogs are fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, and on preventatives. I am pretty sure my rescuers were HUNGRY when they named us. Cashew is my name and I am as delightful as a sweet n nutty n salty treat. My babies were named after food too! Who names puppies Chicken, Banana and Raisin?? Hungry rescuers! When we were found, we were HUNGRY TOO! We were "living" at a gas station in the 90 to 100 degree temperatures and unbelievable flooding. 🌧 We are SURVIVORS!
