Meet this sweet, fun, affectionate Basenji looking for a loving home. He’s five years old, purebred, and weighs 34 lbs. Basenjis are known as the “barkless dog”, making them ideal for apartments or quieter living environments. He’s playful, loyal, and happiest when he has companionship and toys to keep him busy. Health & Vet Info • Approximately 34 lbs • Not neutered • No known medical issues • Up-to-date on basic care (you can adjust this if needed) We love him deeply, but with a two-year-old child and shifting household needs, we’re no longer able to give him the environment he deserves. This is a heartbreaking but responsible decision, and we want him to go to a home where he will be cherished — not a shelter. What We’re Looking For • A loving, stable home • Someone who understands the breed or is willing to learn • Commitment to his wellbeing

Story
Murphy came to us as a stray. We're not sure how someone could be missing a dog like him! Murph is a sweetheart who is friendly once he gets to know you (kids are unknown at the moment), and has shown us that he can get along with female dogs (further testing with male dogs). Murph walks great on leash, appears to like truck rides, does awesome for baths, and keeps a fairly clean kennel. He isn't picky about his food, though he is a treat snob. Murph is neutered, microchipped, current on shots, heartworm negative, and current on flea/tick/heart worm preventions.
