Story
Meet Mia Bella – Your Adventure-Ready Best Friend! 🐾 If you’re looking for a fun-loving, active companion to be your sidekick in life, Mia Bella might just be your girl! This adventurous pup is always up for a good time — whether it’s a long walk, a game of fetch (her absolute favorite!), or exploring somewhere new. Mia Bella is house trained and crate trained, making her an easy addition to the right home. She does well with children and would thrive with older kiddos who can match her playful energy. She gets along with other dogs as long as food isn’t involved, but truthfully, she would probably love being your one-and-only so she can soak up all the attention. (No cats for this girl.) Mia Bella would be the perfect companion for an active person who wants a loyal partner for daily walks, outdoor adventures, and plenty of playtime. When the fun winds down, she’s happy to relax by your side — especially if it means being close to her favorite human. She’s not just looking for a home… she’s looking for her BFF. Could that be you? 💕 If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at https://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/forms PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN RHODE ISLAND AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED. Our rescue pets are fostered in Southern foster homes (unless otherwise stated) and are posted for adoption once they are completely vetted and ready to travel. Our pets are adoptable in Alabama and New England States. Our adoption fee includes transport fee, spay/neuter, current vaccinations, deworming, heart worm test for animals over 7 months old, all necessary vetting and an interstate health certificate. Once an application is received, our team is happy to answer all of your questions and send additional pictures and videos. Thank you for thinking rescue!

Story
ALL our cats and dogs are in the NY area but can be adopted out of state to the purrfect furever home.  In some cases, we can help transport.  Zani's al fresco Summer Adoptions  follow us on FB to find us this summer as we will try new locations to meet the needs of NYC and support the little stores:)         Meet Blaze: 1-Year-Old 45lbs  Island Boy with Big PersonalityFrom Puerto Rico with Love (and a Solid Bark) Blaze with a family with two kids who he adore. Unfortunately the family is going through a divorce. Blaze is what you get when you mix a loyal guardian with a total goofball—basically, the best of both worlds if you’re ready for an adventure. This handsome fawn-and-white rescue came all the way from Puerto Rico and arrived fully housebroken (seriously, this guy knows what he’s doing). The Blaze absolutely LIVES for backyard runs—he’s got the athleticism and the boundless energy of a dog who was born to move. When he’s not zooming around like his tail’s on fire, he’s ready to flop on the couch for serious cuddle sessions. He’s equal parts protective pooch and silly companion, with a bark that’ll let you know he’s looking out for his people, but a wag that says he’s just happy to be near you.Like most young, energetic dogs, Blaze loves  toys, that random shoe you left out… it’s all fair game to him. He needs an owner who’ll give him appropriate outlets (lots of durable toys, puzzle toys, and healthy chew alternatives) and can channel that enthusiasm with exercise and training.Your Perfect Match: You’re active, you’ve got space for this boy to run, and you’re looking for a dog who’s part protector, part best friend. You understand that young dogs need patience, exercise, and boundaries—and you’re ready to invest that time. If you can give Blaze a structured home with regular exercise and training, he’ll give you loyalty, laughs, and cuddles in return. The Bottom Line: Blaze is a stunning, soulful boy with so much love to give. He deserves a home as amazing as he is. Ready to be his person?     All dogs are located in NY/NJ area All our puppies need puppy play dates/doggy facetime so we recommend homes with other pups or daily interactions to keep them tired out, happy and social.     Facebook: Zani's Furry Friends ZFF (weekly adoption event info posted there) Twitter: zanisff  Instagram: zanisfurryfriends   Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, Rabies vaxed, and microchipped (not Lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it!)  All are in the NY/NJ area but we will adopt out of state to the purrfect home and in some cases, we can arrange transport.  Please go to our site  https://zanisfurryfriends.org  fill out an application  Many of us (cats/dogs) will be on display on Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent--please ask by writing us at dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org and following us on FB. If you are seriously interested in adopting one of us in particular, please fill out an application early Friday so that we can be sure to be there. Otherwise we decide based on other variables. Usually we are in our foster homes so this is a bit more stressful and a slightly artificial environment but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes too.   Please consider providing a home for more than one dog, especially if you are considering adopting a puppy. Dogs are pack animals and very much enjoy as well as need other dog company to learn to play, socialize and be good companion animals to people. The upside to this is that you won't feel as guilty leaving them alone and you get twice the love. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer, and you can always donate! If you want to know about cats/dogs specifically being shown at our adoption locations, please email us info@zanisfurryfriends.org closer to the date so we know your interest and will make every effort to have that pet at the event or let you know how and where you can meet.  It is extemely helpful and speeds up adoption if the application is filled out prior to visiting us so please do that before coming to our weekend events. Our weekend locations are: Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent  Follow us on FB, Zani's Furry Friends ZFF, for latest updates. Usually we are in our foster homes so all this is a bit more stressful but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer. And you can always donate:) Cats and Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD w/ all age appropriate shots and microchipped. Cats are feline combo tested for FIV/FeLV; dogs are heartworm tested and rabies vax'd, (NOT lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it); rabbits are spayed/neutered. Please fill out an application and email to: For Cats: cats@zanisfurryfriends.org For Dogs: dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org For Rabbits: nyc.acc.rabbits@gmail.com. Please visit our website zanisfurryfriends.org.
