Meet Ikota, an 12-week-old maybe a Basenji/Mountain Cur mix, weighing approx. 20-25 pounds. This beauty was found as a stray but now she is thriving as a spunky little girl and has her foster older brothers wrapped around her paw. Ikota is so adorable, she's sure to win first place in every dog beauty pageant there is, so sign her up now! When she's not stealing hearts with her friendly demeanor, Ikota loves to play with her senior foster brother’s toys (to his dismay), but he is tolerant of her behavior because Ikota is so sweet and the perfect little sister. Ikota enjoys cuddling up when she's relaxing and is the perfect couch companion for when you're watching TV. She hasn't met cats yet nor does she have experience with children, but we believe Ikota would be amazing with kiddos because of her friendly and playful attitude. Soon, Ikota will be teaching a class on crates, leashes, and potty training because she's mastered all three. Hi there, I’m Scooby—and yes, I’m just as lovable as my name suggests. I’m a 3-year-old, 45-pound Basenji mix with a heart full of sweetness and a goofy streak that’ll keep you smiling. I’m healthy, crate-trained, house-trained, and up to date on all my vetting: heartworm negative, vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. I was saved from euthanasia at Memphis Animal Services, and now I’m ready to find my forever family. I absolutely adore people and want to be near them as much as possible. I’m silly and strong on a leash, so I could use a little help with training—but I’m smart and eager to learn. I need a home without cats as I have a strong instinct to chase them. I’m treat-protective and need slow introductions with strangers, but I’m not aggressive and I get along fine with other dogs, especially at mealtime. I’m not a jumper, and overall, I’m a well-rounded guy with a lot of love to give. I’m not big on toys or dog play—I’d rather explore, sniff, and do my own thing. But if you’ve got a hose, I’m in heaven. Water play is my favorite, and I’d be an amazing adventure buddy for hikes, boat rides, or backyard fun. I am in Paris, TN but can be transported to other states for the right home. Please note, there is a transport fee. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who’s already come a long way and is ready to keep growing with you, I might just be your match. Fill out an application and let’s start our journey together.
