Story
Hi there, I’m Scooby—and yes, I’m just as lovable as my name suggests. I’m a 3-year-old, 45-pound Basenji mix with a heart full of sweetness and a goofy streak that’ll keep you smiling. I’m healthy, crate-trained, house-trained, and up to date on all my vetting: heartworm negative, vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. I was saved from euthanasia at Memphis Animal Services, and now I’m ready to find my forever family. I absolutely adore people and want to be near them as much as possible. I’m silly and strong on a leash, so I could use a little help with training—but I’m smart and eager to learn. I need a home without cats as I have a strong instinct to chase them. I’m treat-protective and need slow introductions with strangers, but I’m not aggressive and I get along fine with other dogs, especially at mealtime. I’m not a jumper, and overall, I’m a well-rounded guy with a lot of love to give. I’m not big on toys or dog play—I’d rather explore, sniff, and do my own thing. But if you’ve got a hose, I’m in heaven. Water play is my favorite, and I’d be an amazing adventure buddy for hikes, boat rides, or backyard fun. I am in Paris, TN but can be transported to other states for the right home. Please note, there is a transport fee. Meet Mary Ann and Ginger, an adorable bonded pair of medium-sized rescue dogs who are searching for their forever home. These super cute girls have spent their entire lives on their own until they were recently rescued. Despite their rough beginnings, Mary Ann and Ginger are incredibly sweet and are now learning to enjoy the comforts of a loving home. Both Mary Ann and Ginger get along wonderfully with other dogs, though they haven't had the chance to meet any cats yet. They need a patient adopter who will give them the time and space they need to adjust to their new surroundings and discover the joys of being cherished pets. Ginger, who bravely underwent heartworm treatment, is now healthy and heartworm negative. Both dogs are fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, and on preventatives. They even tolerate baths and absolutely love being petted. Currently, Mary Ann and Ginger are being fostered in Seguin, TX, where they are receiving the care and love they deserve. If you have a kind heart and a gentle hand, these two sweethearts will surely reward you with endless affection and loyalty.
