Story
Meet Mary Ann and Ginger, an adorable bonded pair of medium-sized rescue dogs who are searching for their forever home. These super cute girls have spent their entire lives on their own until they were recently rescued. Despite their rough beginnings, Mary Ann and Ginger are incredibly sweet and are now learning to enjoy the comforts of a loving home. Both Mary Ann and Ginger get along wonderfully with other dogs, though they haven't had the chance to meet any cats yet. They need a patient adopter who will give them the time and space they need to adjust to their new surroundings and discover the joys of being cherished pets. Ginger, who bravely underwent heartworm treatment, is now healthy and heartworm negative. Both dogs are fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, and on preventatives. They even tolerate baths and absolutely love being petted. Currently, Mary Ann and Ginger are being fostered in Seguin, TX, where they are receiving the care and love they deserve. If you have a kind heart and a gentle hand, these two sweethearts will surely reward you with endless affection and loyalty. Adopt Mary Ann and Ginger and give them the loving home they've always dreamed of.

Story
To say that Candy is the best dog in the world is not an exaggeration. Candy is a sensitive and gentle soul. She is an indoor companion dog. Always loving, obedient and eager to please. She loves children and other friendly dogs. She is very social and loves being around people. She is quiet . She is not a barker or high energy. She’s happy going out for a walk once a day, she has a relaxed personality. She is afraid of thunder and other loud noises. She doesn’t do well when people yell or hit her. We got her from the animal defense league 4 yrs ago. We love her and only looking to rehome her because we’re moving. We’re looking for a loving family or a retired couple that has the time to give her the attention she needs.

Story
Winnie is a sweet young adult with a lovely tan-and-white coat and an adorable face that hints at some Basenji in her mix. As she settles into rescue life, Winnie is taking things at her own pace and learning to trust her new surroundings. While she can be a little shy at first, her personality really begins to shine when she's around other dogs. In fact, we believe Winnie would thrive in a home with a confident canine companion or two to help her feel secure and continue building her confidence. With patience and understanding, Winnie could blossom into a loyal and loving companion. To meet Winnie, please fill out an application at wimberleywagrescue.org to set up a no-obligation “meet and greet.”

Story
Tito is a 3-year-old, 37-pound pup who has endured more than most. Rescued from the streets and brought to the Weslaco shelter with a severely embedded collar that was put on as a puppy and never removed as he grew. Tito spent his life on the streets after fleeing his home, before finally finding safety. Now, he’s ready for the love and stability of a forever home. Though he needs a brief warm-up period to feel secure, Tito quickly shows his affectionate side. He loves other dogs and is especially nurturing toward puppies, making him a wonderful companion for a household with another dog. Until he feels fully safe, he’ll do best with a harness and leash to help him build trust. Tito is playful, gentle, and longing for a family to call his own. After surviving so much, he deserves a home where he can finally relax, be loved, and share his loyal heart. Tito is located in our shelter in Hondo, Texas.
