Story
Toast, who is male Basenji mix, has been patiently waiting for his forever family while so many other dogs have come and gone. Every day he wakes up hopeful that today might be the day someone chooses him. Unfortunately, that day hasn’t come yet. The truth is, Toast is an incredible dog. Toast is approx two years old, fully vetted, which means he has been neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested, microchipped, and is current on all preventatives. He weighs about 45 pounds. Extremely well mannered and knows several commands. He is also housebroken and crate trained, making him ready to transition into a loving home. Toast gets along well with other dogs and children, but because of his enthusiasm and energy, he would do best in a home where family members are steady and firm on their feet. He is an active young dog who needs daily walks, exercise, and a securely fenced yard where he can run and play. And when we say run, we mean RUN! 🏃‍♂️💨 Toast is quite literally one of the fastest dogs we have ever seen. Watching him stretch his legs across the yard is truly something to behold. He absolutely loves car rides, adventures, and spending time with his foster brothers and sisters. Because he enjoys canine companionship so much, a home with another friendly dog would be ideal for him. Despite all of these wonderful qualities, Toast continues to wait. He doesn’t know that his adoption fee has been lowered. He doesn’t know that we’re sharing his story again in hopes that the right person or family will see it. He only knows that every day he has so much love to give and no family of his own to give it to. Please help us change that.
