Despite their rough beginnings, Mary Ann and Ginger are incredibly sweet and are now learning to enjoy the comforts of a loving home. Both Mary Ann and Ginger get along wonderfully with other dogs, though they haven't had the chance to meet any cats yet. They need a patient adopter who will give them the time and space they need to adjust to their new surroundings and discover the joys of being cherished pets. Ginger, who bravely underwent heartworm treatment, is now healthy and heartworm negative. Both dogs are fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, and on preventatives. They even tolerate baths and absolutely love being petted. Currently, Mary Ann and Ginger are being fostered in Seguin, TX, where they are receiving the care and love they deserve. She came into rescue pregnant, heartworm positive, and carrying the weight of an uncertain past. Today, her puppies have all found loving homes, and Nala has completed heartworm treatment and received a clean bill of health. She is now spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. Nala is kennel trained, potty trained, and settles quietly in her crate after a day of activity. She is a high-energy dog who loves to play hard and have fun, but she also appreciates having a safe space where she can relax and unwind. Because of her past experiences, Nala is very cautious when meeting new people and will need time to adjust to a new home and surroundings. She is not the type of dog who will instantly become everyone's best friend. Instead, she forms deep bonds slowly and meaningfully.
