Story
HI - MY NAME IS BRIE! I'm a 10-month-old Basenji mix in need of a foster or forever home. I weigh only 30 pounds! I was rescued from a crowded California shelter along with my brother Franco (he also needs a home), and it was a pretty traumatic experience for us. But I'm now coming out of my shell, and am ready for a foster or forever home. Like many dogs I'll need some time to transition to a new life, but once I do, I'll be your best friend forever. I am a true medium-sized girl and would do great in a quiet home with a single person, a couple or a family with older kids. Please email for an application.

Story
Bones is a high-energy, playful pup who loves to run, play, and stay active. He’s very intelligent and learns new commands quickly, making him a great fit for someone experienced with dogs or excited to continue his training. He’s incredibly loyal and people-oriented, forming strong bonds with his person while still enjoying time with other dogs. Because he was separated from his mom very early, Bones does have some separation anxiety when left alone—he may bark, but he is not destructive. He would do best in a home where someone is around often and can give him plenty of attention and space to play. Bones has been around a 2 and 4 years old before. he does great when people are around watching him to make sure they’re not getting in his face. (as soon as kids start running around, he thinks they’re playing with him and he will want to join in) it is best to monitor him around children untill you feel you can trust him. bones is the biggest cuddly boy & loves to sleep w his person.

Here's what you need to know about me:I'd like a home where my family is home often. I'm just really social and love spending time with people, I prefer to not be left alone for long periods. It's recommended I meet any dogs or kids living in my new home before I'm adopted. I just want to make sure we all get along. Primary Color: White Weight: 60 Age: 2yrs 2mths 2wks

Story
MEET FRANCO, an adorable but scared 2-year-old French Bulldog/Basenji mix in need of a foster or forever home. Franco is currently housed with his sister Brie, who looks a lot like him and is also scared. We think they can be separated, though, and it may actually help them. They weigh about 35 lbs each. (Their paperwork may say shepherd mix but they both have Frenchie ears.) Both of them are timid/scared of new people, so they need adopters who can be patient and let them come out of their shells and bond to you. Franco is cute as a button and a wonderful medium size. He is currently in California, but can be transported to Portland.
