Meet Hannah – The Gentle Matriarch Hannah is a beautiful 7-year-old Hound mix with a heart as big as her floppy ears! She’s a calm, well-behaved girl who just wants to be near her people and enjoy the simple comforts of life. Hannah’s look is as unique as her personality — she has a little extra skin and a slightly crooked snout, likely from birth, that only adds to her one-of-a-kind charm. This amazing girl was rescued from a hoarding situation involving 17 dogs and puppies. Many have since found their forever homes, but a few, including some believed to be Hannah’s daughters, are still waiting for their happily-ever-after. We think Hannah was the matriarch of the group, and her nurturing nature truly shines through. Since joining the rescue, Hannah has completed her heartworm treatment and is now heartworm negative! She’s also learning new skills every day — including leash walking, crate training, and she’s completely housebroken! Hannah has been spayed, fully vaccinated, and dewormed, and she’s ready to find a loving home to call her own. Otto is a 2 year old male Bassett / Lab mix, and is every bit as cute and lovable as you’d imagine from his breed mix! He has somewhat short legs that work double-time whenever he is running and playing in the park … it’s entertaining to watch and even more fun to join in the fun! Otto has just the right amount of energy - perfect for strolls around the neighborhood or playtime in the backyard - followed by plenty of quiet moments to relax and enjoy life’s simple pleasures together. Whether it’s soaking up the sunshine, watching a movie side by side, or snuggling on the couch, Otto is happiest when he is with you. He is ready to give his whole heart to his forever person - come meet him today and see if he is your perfect match.   The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip. Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. Phone: 770-214-3590. The hours of operation are: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Thursday 12:30 pm till 6:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am till 4:00 pm. The Carroll County Animal Shelter will be closed the last Friday of every month for deep cleaning, staff training, and animal enrichment.November 2, 2025, 10:31 pm
